Moreover EN 14470 is the only standard which guarantees a specifically defined safe time in the event of a fire for the personnel and ultimately for the fire fighters and rescue forces. When creating a reliable concept of fire protection, all aspects of preemptive fire protection must be taken into consideration. Emergency corridors must be kept free and the fire spread must be prevented so that firefighting measures can commence as quickly and effectively as possible. The ultimate goal is to protect life and health of all people inside the building.
