Practical test: Different types of safety storage cabinet and how they behave in the event of a fire
Which types of safety storage cabinet are available for flammable liquids?
And how do they behave in the event of a fire?
Learn about the different cabinet types and their properties in our practical test video.

asecos – because it really can happen!
The video provides a thought-provoking portrayal of the serious consequences that can be caused by improper storage of flammable liquids. One small act of carelessness by a lab worker can cause a fire. If substances are stored incorrectly, the fire can spread quickly and cause deflagrations and explosions.
The video uses this example to show how purchasing a type 90 safety storage cabinet and the proper storage of hazardous substances prevents this level of severity.

Safety features of a type 90 safety storage cabinet in accordance with EN 14470-1
The video shows the safety features of a fire-resistant asecos type 90 safety storage cabinet, which has been tested in accordance with European Standard EN 14470-1: The fusible links built into the cabinet trigger the automatic closing of the drawers, doors, and outlet air valves in the event of a fire. All joints are also secured by means of intumescent seals, and special fire-resistant plates prevent a critical temperature rise inside the cabinet.
The hazardous substance cabinet is exposed directly to fire for over 90 minutes. Despite this extreme exposure to temperatures over 1000°C, the containers inside the cabinet remain unharmed.

asecos experimental lectures
Our seminars raise awareness of the hazards that can occur due to the improper storage of hazardous substances.
As part of exciting live experiments up close - but at a safe distance - we demonstrate deflagrations, explosions, and other chemical reactions.
Our experts provide an exciting, informative introduction to the necessary background knowledge, safety and preventive measures, and demonstrate how flammable gases and liquids behave.

Leaking container in the safety storage cabinet: removal of a leckage
Leaking container in the safety storage cabinet?
In this video, see what you should do in the event of a leak: The prototype-tested collection tray (TÜVStawaR) on the bottom of the cabinet, which can also be used for storage combined with a perforated plate, has a high collection capacity for safely catching leaks.
-
Relocating a safety storage cabinet on site
How do you go about relocating a safety storage cabinet on site?
The following example video with a safety storage cabinet from the Q-LINE with integrated transport base shows that it can be done easily and safely.

Type 90 safety storage cabinet after a fire
Safety proven in practice with the type 90 asecos safety storage cabinets – even in the event of a fire:
The video shows that the extreme heat of a fire does not reach the hazardous substances inside the safety storage cabinet (fire resistant for 90 minutes) and the individual containers of hazardous substances can be removed from the cabinet after the fire.
-
Recirculating air filter system with exhaust monitoring for hazardous substance cabinets
When is a Recirculating air filter system with exhaust monitoring the ideal solution for hazardous substance cabinets? And how does a Recirculating air filter system work?
The video shows when this is the right solution – for example, if the local extraction system is stretched to capacity or if structural circumstances prevent connection to a local extraction system. It also shows a functional diagram of how the circulation filter works and how 99.99% of the solvent vapors released into the work environment are retained in the filter.

Safety storage cabinets with recirculating air filter technology
Multifunctional recirculating air filter storage cabinets enable the common storage of the most diverse hazardous materials in one cabinet. Vapours that are harmful to health are extracted and filtered at the same time.
The video shows the technical functionality as well as the range of uses a recirculating air filter storage cabinet is required for.
