Basic seminar: storage and handling of hazardous substances

The seminar

In many plants and labs, the use of hazardous substances is part of daily business and is unavoidable. In everyday handling, it’s easy to forget: that improper storage - especially of flammable materials - entails hazards to people, the environment, and property. This makes it particularly important to observe the storage instructions as well as the proper handling of hazardous substances.

The asecos basic seminar “Storage and handling of hazardous substances”, addresses, amongst others the following questions: What exactly is a hazardous substance? Which legal regulations need to be observed? What are the risks that can arise due to improper use and storage of hazardous substances? And also: What preventive measures can and should be taken to guarantee safety?

These questions and many others will be answered for you, and not only with expert lectures.

Part of your seminar day is a visit to the asecos world – a completely new, multimedia information experience on the topic of hazardous substances. You can test, refresh, and expand your knowledge on hazardous substances in guided tours at the asecos world.

Rather than classroom based learning, the asecos concept focuses on the interactive and independent development of content. The theory and practice offered in the asecos world is extensive and designed to be interactive - how do I identify hazardous substances? What are dangerous quantities and how can fire and explosion risks be avoided?

Another practical part of your training is the live demonstration of safety storage cabinets in the asecos showroom.

In addition to popular product lines, currently trending topics relating to the storage of hazardous substances based on innovations and prototypes are also individually addressed.
