Overview of the GAP-LINE model line
Hazardous material work stations with fresh air curtain
The asecos GAP-LINE hazardous substance workplaces are specially developed workplaces that help to improve safety when handling hazardous substances. They enable optimum extraction of the vapours and aerosols that can arise when working with potentially harmful materials. Our GAP-LINE can be found in industry, crafts as well as in laboratories.
With the new ECO variant, long-term energy and cost savings can be achieved, as the pressure loss and minimum volume flow have been greatly reduced by optimising the ventilation technology.
With the aid of our EX-protected hazardous materials workplaces, safe chemical handling can be guaranteed in Zone 1 hazardous areas.
GAP-LINE highlights
-
Highlight: Variant ECO
The ECO-GAP offers an internal height of 1110 mm for high apparatus, but is for ventilation optimisation reduced to a height of 830 mm at the front opening by means of a transparent panel. It is considerably more economical than comparable units as the minimum volume flow is greatly reduced by the panel.
- Minimum volume flow: 650 m³/h
- Differential pressure: 50 Pa
Variant BASIC
- Minimum volume flow: 980 m³/h
- Differential pressure: 116 Pa
-
Anti-glare lighting
- Modern arrangement of glare-free, bright LED luminaire
- LED lighting 4000 K neutral white (min. 500 lux on the work surface)
- Lighting starts as soon as the hazardous materials workstation is safe to operate and ready for use
-
Perfectly complemented with type 90 safety storage under bench cabinets
- Safely store and dispose of required hazardous materials directly at the point of use
-
Aluminium tubular frame design
- Robust, rigid design, low weight, low floor stress
- Anodised surface, chemically resistant
- Integrated on/off switch
-
Electrical sockets with earthing contact
- Splash-proof IP 54, integrated into the media duct as standard (min. 2)
- Additional sockets by request (sockets also possible without media duct)
-
Transparent side panes
- Optimum brightness in the hazardous material work station, transparent side panes made from 5 mm toughened safety glass
- Closed version also available as an option, special material boards coated in melamine resin
-
Exhaust air monitoring
- With visual and audible alarm
- With potential-free switching contact as standard
- Switching contact, e.g. for controlling on-site exhaust air systems
-
Media duct
- Optional, for fitting a wide range of media supplies such as water, gas, compressed air etc.
-
Working surfaces
- Choose, according to need, from: special material board coated in melamine resin, 1.4301 stainless steel or technical ceramic (high resistance to many acids and alkalis)
- Also available without a working surface, ideal for mounting on existing working surfaces
-
Support frames
- Can be chosen for standing or sitting work
- Strong tubular frame design, material strength 4 mm, light grey powder-coated (similar to RAL 7035)
- Height can be set by means of adjustable feet, covers optionally available
-
Deflector
- Easily dismantled for optimum cleaning
- Easy cleaning throughout the interior
- A transparent version of the rear wall and deflector is optionally available, ideal for placement in the middle of a room
Product video of hazardous material work stations
Find out how the asecos hazardous material work station (GAP) makes your work with hazardous materials safe and legally compliant. asecos hazardous material work stations ensure compliance with workplace limit values and prevent hazardous, explosive atmospheres - without the need for a sash. Tested in accordance with DIN EN 14175 Part 3, they guarantee reliable protection even in the event of disruptive external influences.
Thanks to efficient air routing and the fresh air curtain, hazardous vapours are effectively removed. Other functions include integrated exhaust air monitoring, energy-saving LED lighting and versatile connection options.
Our robust aluminium constructions are available in various sizes and can be customised. Special models for Ex zones 1 and 2 as well as the energy-efficient ECO-GAPs offer additional safety and flexibility.
