In awareness of our responsibility to future generations, careful and sustainable management of our environment is important. Our daily thoughts and actions are oriented towards the careful use of resources, the environmentally conscious disposal of waste, the reuse of materials, the substitution of substances that are hazardous to health and the environment, as well as economic and thus ecological procedures and processes (sustainability) and energy conservation.
From this, we derive the obligation to continuously optimize our material flows and resource consumption. Through striving for continuous improvement, we develop annual targets to improve our environmental performance.
Ecological aspects
Since the founding phase of asecos GmbH in Gründau (Germany), we have attached great importance to sustainability and environmental protection, for example by using regionally available raw materials. Through our long-standing and fair partnerships with regional and European suppliers, we can help to reduce the emission of pollutants through short transport routes. The area of product development and manufacturing at the company headquarters in Germany of asecos products is also focused on sustainability. State-of-the-art, well thought-out and interlocked production processes conserve resources.
By using our own photovoltaic systems on the roofs of our production site in Gründau, we are able to produce sufficient electricity for production and administration on site. The consistent increase of electric/hybrid vehicles in the asecos fleet, e-bike leasing for employees, as well as the use of energy-saving LED lighting are just a few measures of energy management at asecos.
Economic aspects
By taking a holistic view of our customers' processes, we create the framework conditions for optimised, safe and ergonomic workflows. By maintaining the value of asecos products, not only are costs reduced, but the increased service life of our products also conserves resources.

Social aspects
With the help of our products and services, we increase safety in the workplace. In this way, we help our customers to concentrate on what is important - their work and the development of innovations that advance our society. In doing so, we do not limit ourselves to Germany. With the same diligence, we drive the further development of our company and thus also the preservation of valuable jobs in the region.
EcoVadis certification
EcoVadis is one of the largest and most trusted providers of sustainability ratings worldwide and relies on international CSR ("Corporate Social Responsibility") standards such as Global Reporting Initiative, UN Global Compact and ISO 26000. The EcoVadis scorecard offers detailed insights into four sustainability topics - environment, labour & human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement - thus providing an overall view of a company's sustainability performance.
We are very pleased that asecos GmbH has been awarded a top ranking by EcoVadis: with the bronze award, we belong to the top third of all companies evaluated.
